ABSTRACT: Innovations in vocational education for careers in biotechnology are critical for equipping students with the necessary skills to thrive in the rapidly evolving biotech industry. This study aimed to identify effective innovations in vocational training for biotechnology, assess their impact on student skills, and evaluate overall student satisfaction with the educational programs. A survey design was selected to gather detailed insights from participants in biotechnology vocational training. The sample size included 200 students from various technical institutions specializing in biotechnology and life sciences. Purposive sampling ensured the selection of participants with a background in biology and interest in biotechnology careers. The case study was conducted at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that innovative training methods, such as hands-on laboratory work, biotechnology simulations, and industry collaborations, significantly improved students' technical skills and problem-solving abilities. Students reported high levels of satisfaction with the curriculum, noting its relevance and applicability to real-world biotechnology challenges. It was recommended that vocational training institutions continuously integrate cutting-edge biotechnologies and foster partnerships with the biotech industry to keep pace with advancements in the field.
